The long-awaited update

So after taking an extended blog holiday, I've decided it's high time to bring this blog back to life! As some of you may know, I've been traveling extensively for most of the summer (and I am still traveling for a few more months, I think), so access was not always as good as I had wished it to be.
Nevertheless, I am back -- and will soon be posting from a number of very interesting conferences.
